Composite Estimation Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Composite Estimation Engineer to lead cost and material estimations for the manufacturing of composite‑based products. The role involves translating CAD models and drawings into accurate material and tooling requirements, supporting prototype through serial production phases.

Key responsibilities

• Perform detailed estimations of material, tooling and process costs for composite components based on CAD data.
• Analyse CAD models (NX, CATIA) to determine material quantities, lay‑up schedules and manufacturing resources.
• Define infrastructure and space requirements, and design efficient manufacturing flow layouts.
• Collaborate with material suppliers, tool makers, internal manufacturing teams, external vendors, testing laboratories and quality assurance groups.
• Prepare cost breakdowns for prototypes, low‑volume runs and full‑scale production.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of composite materials and their manufacturing processes, including tooling, testing and quality standards.
• Experience interpreting engineering drawings and CAD models for production planning.
• Ability to assess infrastructure needs and optimise manufacturing flow.
• Effective communication with cross‑functional internal and external stakeholders.

Required skills

• Proficiency with NX CAD software.
• Proficiency with CATIA CAD software.
