Communications Specialist

About the role

The International Water Management Institute (IWMI) is looking for a Communications Specialist to join its Anand office. The role focuses on creating, designing, sourcing and evaluating communication materials that align with IWMI’s strategy, while supporting outreach, events and stakeholder engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Write, design, source and evaluate creative communication content and products.
• Develop and monitor procedures and guidelines to ensure consistency with organisational standards.
• Provide technical input to communication action plans and introduce innovative ideas.
• Oversee the end‑to‑end production of communication materials, ensuring timely delivery and quality.
• Update website, social media channels and online content, maintaining brand consistency.
• Engage with external service providers and contractors to secure quality communication services.
• Maintain relationships with consortium members, partners and consultants to enhance dissemination.
• Develop training materials and deliver capacity‑building sessions for external stakeholders.
• Gather, consolidate and edit reports for timely submission.
• Monitor usage data and assess the effectiveness of communication tools.

Required profile

• Proven experience in communication, content creation and stakeholder engagement.
• Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners.
• Strong organisational skills for managing content databases and outreach events.
