Communications Associate

About the role

Nāgrika is seeking a Communications Associate to bring its research and citizen‑led stories to life across social media. The role blends design, video production, writing and content sourcing to translate complex urban insights into engaging, audience‑friendly formats.

Key responsibilities

• Design and produce visual content for social media, including static posts, carousels, infographics and thumbnails.
• Create and edit short‑form video assets such as reels, explainers and podcast clips, and appear on‑camera as a presenter.
• Mine existing research, reports and city profiles to identify stories and translate complex insights into engaging, audience‑friendly formats.
• Write and edit captions and copy for all platforms, ensuring alignment with Nāgrika’s voice and brand guidelines.
• Contribute to content calendar planning, propose ideas for social media strategy and coordinate timely story production.
• Monitor and respond to direct messages, comments and replies, and manage external communications‑related emails.

Required profile

• A creative maker who values high‑quality output and can turn research findings into compelling visual and written content.
• Comfortable speaking on‑camera and presenting topics after brief preparation.
• Strong organisational skills, able to manage a content calendar independently and collaborate across research and program teams.
