Commodity Dealer

About the role

The Commodity Dealer will manage daily commodity trades for clients, ensuring accurate order execution and providing market insights. This role involves close coordination with clients, trade confirmation, and driving business growth through client acquisition and relationship management.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with clients for their daily commodity trades and execute orders online on their behalf.
• Confirm and communicate trade details to clients throughout the trading day.
• Provide market updates and advise clients on conditions affecting commodities such as gold, silver, crude oil, natural gas, and base metals.
• Activate inactive clients through regular follow‑up and address client queries promptly.
• Monitor hedging strategies, margin requirements, and position management.
• Stay informed on micro‑ and macro‑economic indicators and their impact on financial markets.
• Achieve revenue and client acquisition targets while maintaining high service standards.

Required profile

• Graduate, Post‑Graduate or MBA degree.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a commodity broking firm.
• NISM certification related to commodities.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of MCX commodity trading (gold, silver, crude oil, natural gas, base metals, etc.).
• Experience with algorithmic (algo) trading and order execution.
• Understanding of hedging, margin requirements, and position management.
• NISM certification for commodities.
