Commis I – Kitchen Assistant

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Kitchen Commis I to join our hotel kitchen team at Accor. The role involves daily stocking of raw materials, preparing ingredients, and ensuring strict adherence to food safety and hygiene standards in a fast‑paced hospitality environment.

Key responsibilities

• Stock the assigned kitchen with raw materials and ingredients on a daily basis.
• Operate all electrical and mechanical kitchen equipment safely, following all safety precautions.
• Perform basic cooking methods, cut ingredients, and prepare daily mise‑en‑place for the assigned station.
• Prepare food items according to standard recipe cards while maintaining portion control and minimizing waste.
• Apply HACCP food safety and hygiene standards throughout all food handling processes.
• Clean and maintain all equipment within the food production area.
• Promptly report any hazards, unsafe working conditions, or equipment issues to the supervisor.
• Follow hotel fire and life safety/emergency procedures.
• Attend all briefings, meetings and trainings assigned by management.
• Maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene at all times.
• Perform other reasonable duties assigned by management.

Required profile

• Ability to follow HACCP food safety and hygiene standards.
• Ability to operate electrical and mechanical kitchen equipment safely.
• Knowledge of hotel fire and life safety/emergency procedures.
