Commercial Specialist – Proposal Management

About the role

The Commercial Specialist supports Sulzer's sales organization by managing the end‑to‑end proposal process. You will act as the central hub between sales, operations, projects and customers, ensuring proposals are technically accurate, commercially sound and delivered on time.

Key responsibilities

• Generate and submit proposals in the Business Management System using a “first‑time‑right” approach.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to clarify technical and commercial requirements.
• Identify and mitigate technical and commercial risks during the bid process.
• Review proposals against Sulzer’s delegation of authority and perform opportunity‑specific calculations.
• Maintain proposal archives and manage storage of related documentation.
• Screen Terms & Conditions and collaborate with Legal and Commercial managers for revisions.
• Support regional, local and global sales teams on all commercial matters.
• Utilise Salesforce and Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) for data management and reporting.

Required profile

• Specialist professional with advanced knowledge of commercial and technical aspects of engineering projects.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision and coach junior staff.
• Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical or Power Generation sectors.
