Cloud Security & DevOps Engineer

About the role

Ajaia, an AI consultancy and product studio, is hiring a Cloud Security & DevOps Engineer to manage and secure its multi-cloud infrastructure across GCP and Azure. This is a technical, hands-on, fully remote role where you configure infrastructure, enforce security controls, manage deployment pipelines and build automation that reduces manual overhead across IT and security operations. The company runs AI products in regulated industries, so you will support HIPAA and SOC 2 compliance at the infrastructure level.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and secure the multi-cloud infrastructure across GCP and Azure
• Configure infrastructure and enforce security controls
• Manage deployment pipelines and build automation
• Support internal IT operations: access management (SSO, MFA, RBAC), endpoint security and onboarding automation
• Use AI tools in daily workflows such as writing scripts, analyzing logs, generating documentation and accelerating engineering work

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity or equivalent experience
• 2-5 years of experience in cloud engineering, DevOps/SRE/platform engineering, infrastructure security, CI/CD or related fields
• Hands-on experience managing cloud environments across GCP and Azure (multi-cloud required)
• Familiarity with compliance requirements at the infrastructure level (HIPAA, SOC 2 preferred)
• Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, fully remote, distributed environment

Required skills

• Infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Pulumi or similar)
• Building and securing CI/CD pipelines
• Cloud security fundamentals: IAM policies, network segmentation, firewall rules, encryption at rest and in transit
• Scripting in Python, Bash or similar
• Security monitoring and alerting systems
• Preferred: Kubernetes, Docker, service mesh, SIEM, vulnerability scanning, Ansible/Chef/Puppet, and relevant security certifications

What we offer

• Base salary of approximately $28,000-$35,000 USD per year, depending on experience, location and performance
• Opportunity to earn up to 100% of base salary in performance-based bonuses
