Cloud Security Architect

About the role

Ryan is hiring a Cloud Security Architect in Hyderabad. The role owns cloud security operations, posture management and policy enforcement across the firm's multi-cloud environment, working closely with IT, platform engineering teams and senior security leadership. It is a hands-on, self-directed position acting as the cloud security subject matter expert within the Cyber Threat Operations team.

Key responsibilities

• Own cloud security operations and posture management across the firm's multi-cloud environment, and act as a security partner to cloud platform and development teams.
• Integrate security early in the build process through architecture reviews, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) pipeline checks and predeployment guardrails.
• Enforce cloud security policies and guardrails across identity, network security, data access and resource configuration.
• Configure the cloud security posture management platform, drive remediation and maintain accurate exposure reporting.
• Conduct threat hunting, own detection coverage and treat every incident as an input to hardening.
• Stay current on cloud-specific adversary techniques and plan new security technologies and architectures.
• May lead the security team in managing daily security operations center functions.

Required profile

• Eight or more years of progressive information security experience, including four to six years of direct, hands-on cloud security experience.
• Production experience with a cloud security posture management or cloud-native application protection platform.
• Hands-on experience across at least two major cloud platforms.
• Security operations experience including alert triage, event investigation and incident response.
• Experience working alongside engineering or development teams as a security partner.
• Clear written communication across technical and non-technical audiences, highly self-motivated and directed.

Required skills

• Preferred: Microsoft Azure, AWS and Google Cloud Platform; Kubernetes and container security; shift-left security such as IaC pipeline checks and CI/CD-integrated controls.
• Knowledge of compliance frameworks such as HIPAA, HITECH, ISO 27001/27002, SOC 1/2, SOX, PCI and security best practices.
• Certifications preferred: Microsoft AZ-500, AWS Certified Security – Specialty, CCSP; CISSP is a plus.
