Cloud Engineer

About the role

BNP Paribas Wealth Management is seeking a Cloud Engineer to support its transformation program that aims to migrate applications to IBM Cloud by 2026. The role sits within a cross‑functional team that collaborates with engineering, infrastructure and development groups to automate and modernise the cloud environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain Ansible playbooks and Terraform scripts for provisioning, configuration and deployment.
• Containerise legacy applications and support Kubernetes orchestration.
• Assist and train operations teams on Ansible, Terraform and Kubernetes best practices.
• Implement and test disaster‑recovery procedures for cloud workloads.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in IT operations or software engineering.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset with excellent written and oral communication.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively across multiple technical teams.

Required skills

• Linux (Red Hat Enterprise Linux) and command‑line proficiency.
• Scripting in Python and/or Bash.
• Automation tools: Ansible (RH294 certified) and Terraform.
• Container technologies: Docker and Kubernetes (CKAD certified).
• CI/CD platforms such as Jenkins, Travis or Concourse.
• Hands‑on experience with a public cloud provider (IBM Cloud, AWS, Azure or Google Cloud).
• Optional certifications: HashiCorp Terraform Associate, HashiCorp Vault Associate.
