About the role

The Portland Area Manager will lead our janitorial teams across multiple sites, ensuring cleaning and maintenance standards are consistently met. This role blends leadership, customer service, and operational expertise while upholding health and safety protocols.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily janitorial operations across several locations, guaranteeing high cleanliness standards.
• Manage, train, and develop a team of janitors and supervisors, fostering performance and teamwork.
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits, identifying improvement areas and implementing corrective actions.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, addressing their needs and ensuring satisfaction.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, promoting a safe work environment.
• Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring teams have necessary resources.
• Prepare and control budgets for labor, supplies, and equipment maintenance.
• Resolve client or staff issues promptly and professionally.
• Implement sustainable cleaning practices and monitor their effectiveness.
• Generate reports and performance analyses for senior management.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in managing cleaning or facilities teams.
• Strong customer‑service orientation and ability to maintain client relationships.

• Experience in budgeting, inventory control, and reporting.
