China Sourcing, Negotiations & Logistics Specialist (Remote)

About the role

You will own the end‑to‑end supply side of four e‑commerce brands, sourcing products from China and ensuring they reach North America on time and within budget. This remote position requires hands‑on work with Chinese factories, freight forwarders, and customs authorities.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, vet, and build relationships with Chinese suppliers on platforms such as Alibaba, 1688 and Made‑in‑China.
• Negotiate prices, minimum order quantities, payment terms and sample agreements, keeping written records.
• Calculate complete landed costs, including unit price, freight, duties, GST and any fees.
• Coordinate logistics: select incoterms, arrange freight forwarding, prepare customs paperwork and choose sea or air transport.
• Manage orders from placement through delivery, track shipments, flag delays early and protect delivery dates.
• Run quality control processes, approve samples, conduct pre‑shipment checks and resolve defects with suppliers.
• Report weekly metrics on orders, margins, delays and any changes.

Required profile

• Proven experience sourcing directly from China, with real negotiations and orders you can demonstrate.
• Fluent in landed‑cost calculations; missing line items are not acceptable.
• Strong logistics knowledge: incoterms, freight forwarding, customs documentation and problem‑solving when shipments stall.
• Disciplined order management: protect delivery dates, flag delays early and maintain accurate records.
• Excellent written English for daily supplier communication.
• Honest about any gaps in experience; the assessment will verify claims.
