Chef de Cuisine

About the role

The Westin Gurgaon is seeking a Chef de Cuisine to lead its restaurant kitchen. The role combines hands‑on cooking with management of all food‑related functions, ensuring high quality, consistency, and guest satisfaction while adhering to budget and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring compliance with Food & Beverage policies, sanitation, and food safety standards.
• Develop, design, and execute new menu items, seasonal offerings, and special presentations.
• Plan and manage food quantities, plating requirements, and production estimates for the restaurant.
• Supervise and coordinate cooks and kitchen staff, providing training, coaching, and performance feedback.
• Maintain proper food handling, storage, and temperature control in line with applicable regulations.
• Collaborate with purchasing to control costs and maintain inventory levels.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with at least 4 years of culinary or food‑service experience, OR a 2‑year degree in Culinary Arts, Hotel & Restaurant Management, or a related field with 2 years of experience.
• Proven ability to lead a kitchen team, manage day‑to‑day operations, and uphold high culinary standards.
• Strong understanding of sanitation, food safety regulations, and budget management.
