Channel Relationship Manager – Axis Bank

About the role

The Channel Relationship Manager will be responsible for generating insurance business through the assigned Axis Bank channel partners. The role focuses on convincing bank relationship managers to promote Birla Sunlife Insurance products to their customers, while providing comprehensive pre‑ and post‑sale support.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve premium and revenue targets by continuously engaging with multiple Axis Bank branch heads and key decision makers.
• Drive branch‑level activities and innovative campaigns to increase customer penetration of insurance products.
• Communicate process changes, regulatory updates and training modules to channel partners.
• Ensure smooth execution of sales, issuance, and complaint handling without bottlenecks.
• Manage the open‑architecture banking relationship, delivering appropriate product mix (traditional, ULIP, term) and supporting bank customers with suitable solutions.
• Identify new business opportunities, provide input for product development and sales pitches, and assess training needs for both internal and partner teams.

Required profile

• Proven experience in insurance sales or channel partnership management, preferably with bank distribution channels.
• Strong understanding of unit‑linked policies, traditional life, and term insurance products.
• Ability to work in a volatile market and align priorities with bank partners.
• Excellent relationship‑building skills across multiple levels of the partner organization.
