Category Manager – Procurement (IT & Professional Services)

About the role

Flexera is seeking an experienced Category Manager to lead procurement activities for IT and professional services. The role will support cost‑reduction initiatives and ensure optimal supplier relationships across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Manage small to mid‑level procurement negotiations for all categories, focusing on IT and professional services.
• Operate and maintain the P2P procurement platform throughout the purchase‑to‑pay cycle.
• Oversee supplier lifecycle management, including selection, onboarding, performance monitoring, and due‑diligence documentation.
• Develop and manage RFQs, secure best‑in‑class pricing, and achieve annual cost‑reduction targets.
• Collaborate with internal business units and external suppliers to integrate procurement processes and drive value.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of global procurement experience, preferably in IT or professional services.
• Proven track record in contract negotiation and commercial agreement execution.
• Experience working with centralized P2P platforms and supplier lifecycle management.
• Strong analytical, presentation, and project‑management capabilities.
• Ability to operate effectively in a matrixed organization and engage with senior supplier executives.
