Category Manager – EME (India)

About the role

Aumovio, a technology spin‑off from Continental, is looking for a Category Manager for the EME region in India. Based in Bangalore, you will lead material and supplier strategies for a portfolio that supports safe, connected and autonomous mobility solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Derive and implement category strategies based on stakeholder needs, market analysis and internal demand.
• Conduct regular supplier evaluations and ensure compliance with legal and sustainability requirements.
• Guide internal stakeholders, communicate market trends and support escalation handling.
• Lead negotiations, drive cost improvements and manage bundling opportunities.
• Negotiate and administer contracts, ensuring lifecycle management and audit compliance.
• Maintain accurate data in IT systems and perform monthly controls.
• Initiate value‑engineering, cost‑reduction programs and supplier improvement initiatives.
• Identify, assess and mitigate supply‑chain risks related to geopolitics, finance and material availability.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum of 20 years of experience in procurement, category management or related fields.
