Cashier

About the role

We are looking for a full-time Cashier to join our store in Vadodara. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for customers, ensuring smooth and accurate transaction processing while maintaining a welcoming checkout environment.

Key responsibilities

• Process cash, card and digital payments accurately using the POS system.
• Issue receipts and reconcile the cash drawer at the start and end of each shift.
• Greet customers, answer basic inquiries and provide courteous service.
• Keep the checkout area clean, organized and stocked with necessary items.
• Monitor counter stock, report any discrepancies and support inventory checks.
• Follow company policies, safety procedures and data‑privacy guidelines.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth store operations.

Required profile

• Attention to detail in cash handling and record‑keeping.
• Strong customer‑service attitude with clear communication.
• Basic numeracy and computer literacy.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and work scheduled shifts, including weekends or evenings.
• Minimum high‑school education; fluency in the local language and basic English is an advantage.
• Prior cashier or retail experience is beneficial but not mandatory.

Required skills

• Operation of Point‑of‑Sale (POS) systems.
• Use of billing software for transaction processing.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and receipt printing.
