Cashier

About the role

The Cashier position at StrayCity is a full‑time, on‑site role based in Dehradun. You will be the front‑line contact for customers, handling all payment transactions and ensuring a smooth checkout experience.

Key responsibilities

• Process cash, card, and digital payments accurately using the POS system.
• Issue receipts, manage returns or exchanges according to company policy.
• Maintain a balanced cash drawer and reconcile the register at the end of each shift.
• Greet customers, answer basic product or service questions, and provide courteous support.
• Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
• Report any discrepancies or issues to the store manager promptly.

• Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Honesty, reliability, and high integrity when handling cash and customer data.
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and varying shift schedules.

Required skills
