Cashier – Branch Banking (Multiple Locations)

About the role

We are looking for a diligent Cashier to manage all cash‑related transactions across multiple branch locations. The role ensures accurate processing of deposits, withdrawals, and loan repayments while maintaining compliance with banking regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and process cheques, drafts, dividend warrants, pay orders and other instruments within authorized limits.
• Disburse cash for withdrawal requests and collect cash for deposit challans.
• Collect loan repayments according to EMI schedules and record entries in the banking system.
• Maintain inward/outward registers, petty‑cash register, assets register and submit requisition forms to the Regional Head Office.
• Perform daily cash tally, reconcile transactions, and prepare the End‑of‑Day branch report.
• Jointly manage the branch vault and cash department with the Operations Officer.
• Provide courteous customer service, address queries, and promote cross‑selling of bank products.
• Educate customers on alternate channels for deposits, withdrawals and inquiries.
• Count and verify cash at the start and end of each day before vaulting.
• Ensure adherence to turnaround times, regulatory compliance, and internal bank policies.

Required profile

• Full‑time availability.
• Ability to work in a branch environment and handle cash securely.
• Reports to the Branch Operation Officer.
