Canadian Corporate Tax Accountant (T2) – Financial Statements & Tax Prep

About the role

We are expanding our Canadian accounting outsourcing practice and need two experienced professionals to prepare financial statements and corporate tax returns for a Canadian client. The role works on‑site in Ahmedabad and follows Canadian Eastern Standard Time business hours.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and e‑file Canadian T2 corporate income tax returns from start to finish.
• Compile year‑end financial statements (Compilation/Notice to Reader, review engagements) using client trial balances.
• Map financial data to GIFI codes, reconcile schedules, and handle CCA (Schedule 8) and related corporation schedules.
• File provincial returns such as Quebec CO‑17 and Alberta AT1 via CRA EFILE/Internet Filing and resolve any diagnostics.
• Communicate with the engagement team to address review points promptly.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience preparing and filing Canadian corporate (T2) tax returns end‑to‑end.
• Proven ability to produce year‑end financial statements for corporate clients.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet filing deadlines.

Required skills

• CaseWare Working Papers / Cloud
• Taxprep (Corporate Taxprep / CCH iFirm Taxprep) or comparable tools such as ProFile, TaxCycle, Cantax, DT Max
• GIFI mapping and Canadian financial statement formats
• CRA e‑filing procedures
• Knowledge of CCA (Schedule 8) and provincial corporate return requirements
