Calibration Gasoline Project Manager

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Calibration Gasoline Project Manager to lead development projects for engine calibration within our powertrain division. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to design, test, and optimise gasoline engine management systems.

Key responsibilities

• Technically lead calibration development projects from concept to delivery.
• Develop and validate engine management strategies and testing procedures.
• Use model‑based calibration tools to fine‑tune powertrain performance.
• Analyse large data sets and apply statistical techniques such as Design of Experiments.
• Collaborate with hardware‑in‑the‑loop (HIL) teams to verify calibration models.
• Ensure compliance with emissions and combustion standards.
• Document project progress and communicate results to stakeholders.

Required profile

• 10‑12 years of relevant experience in automotive calibration or powertrain engineering.
• Strong knowledge of powertrain systems, engine management, and emissions formulation.
• Ability to interpret and evaluate numerical data accurately.
• Highly motivated, detail‑oriented and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Willingness to travel when required.

Required skills

• Proficiency with model‑based calibration tools such as INCA, Uniplot, Cameo, ASCMO, AVL Puma.
• Experience using ETAS tools for calibration.
• Familiarity with Hardware‑in‑the‑Loop (HIL) systems.
• Competence in statistical testing techniques, especially Design of Experiments (DoE).
• Ability to work with analytical software for large data volumes.
