Cabin Safety Certification Engineer

About the role
The Cabin Safety Certification Engineer will join Airbus' Cabin and Cargo Certification Department (IIAAC) in Bangalore. Working within the Cabin Safety Certification Team, the role is responsible for ensuring that all cabin‑related design changes meet airworthiness standards and receive timely approval.
Key responsibilities
- Act as Designated Airworthiness Engineer (DAE) under EASA Part 21 Subpart‑J for cabin modifications.
- Define and negotiate the applicable certification basis for each change.
- Classify and allocate changes in Airbus tools (Aircam, ACC2) and approve modification summaries.
- Review design dossiers, identify applicable requirements in ICC, and verify compliance with the Compliance Verification Engineer.
- Perform final airworthiness reviews and ensure all changes are recorded in ACC2.
- Guarantee the airworthiness of design changes and report issues to the Chief Airworthiness Engineer.
Required profile
- Strong knowledge of EASA Part 21 Subpart‑J and aircraft airworthiness regulations.
- Experience using Airbus internal tools such as Aircam, ACC2 and ICC.
- Familiarity with Airbus commercial aircraft programs and their certification requirements.
- Ability to work under tight delivery schedules and manage multiple modifications.
