Buyer – Procurement Specialist

About the role

Flowserve is seeking a proactive Buyer to support its Commercial Operations team. You will be responsible for securing subcontracted components and services at optimal price, quality, and delivery terms, aligning purchasing activities with the company’s strategic goals.

Key responsibilities

• Apply Just‑In‑Time principles to ensure timely material supply for facility projects.
• Negotiate pricing and commercial conditions with suppliers to maximize profitability.
• Assist service centers during the quotation stage to deliver competitive offers.
• Monitor order status and guarantee on‑time delivery from external and internal sources.
• Identify and resolve import‑related issues and coordinate contractual deliveries.
• Establish supply agreements with key vendors for preferential pricing and delivery.
• Review inventory levels to maintain optimal on‑site stock.
• Perform any additional duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Proficiency in purchasing techniques and knowledge of technical and quality requirements for products.
• Fluency in English.
• Solid understanding of negotiations, supplier evaluation and development, supplier quality, and logistics.
• Awareness of market requirements and global strategic negotiation skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• At least 2 years of relevant purchasing experience.
