Business Monitoring & Functional Analysis Consultant

About the role

We are looking for a Consultant who will lead business monitoring, process optimisation and functional analysis initiatives within a hybrid work environment. The role supports complex insurance‑related projects, turning business needs into actionable solutions that improve efficiency, reduce risk and enhance decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Drive detailed business monitoring activities to track performance, spot emerging issues early and propose corrective actions.
• Conduct end‑to‑end business process reviews, map current workflows, identify bottlenecks and design streamlined future‑state processes aligned with strategic objectives.
• Lead risk and analysis tasks to quantify operational, financial and compliance risks and recommend mitigation measures.
• Perform functional analysis, translating requirements into clear functional specifications that meet user expectations and regulatory standards.
• Prepare impact assessments, effort estimates and phased implementation road‑maps to support investment decisions.
• Create conceptual and logical models, process diagrams and documentation to guide technology and operations teams.
• Collaborate with product, technology and operations partners through workshops and structured discussions to validate requirements and resolve gaps.
• Present findings, dashboards and narrative reports to senior stakeholders and coordinate user‑acceptance testing.
• Support continuous‑improvement initiatives by analysing post‑implementation results and recommending enhancements.

Required profile

• Proven experience in business monitoring, process analysis and functional specification within the insurance or financial services sector.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to quantify risks and propose pragmatic solutions.
• Excellent communication skills to work with cross‑functional teams and senior stakeholders.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards for life and annuities insurance.
