Business Development Manager

About the role

The Business Development Manager will lead Biotrace’s US‑focused sales team from Bhubaneswar, driving revenue growth and new customer acquisition for laboratory testing services. This permanent night‑shift role requires close collaboration with technical, quality and operations teams in both India and the United States.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Business Development/Sales team responsible for the US market.
• Develop and execute strategies to achieve US sales and revenue targets.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities through prospecting, lead generation, networking and outbound sales.
• Manage the full sales cycle from lead qualification to negotiation and closure.
• Maintain accurate CRM data, sales forecasts, pipeline reports and revenue projections.
• Coach the sales team on prospecting, discovery, objection handling, negotiation and closing.
• Coordinate with laboratory, technical, quality and operations teams to ensure smooth hand‑over of new business.
• Monitor competitor activity, market trends and customer requirements to inform strategy.

Required profile

• BSc/MSc/BPharm/MPharm in life‑science disciplines (preferred).
• 7–12 years of B2B sales/business development experience, with at least 3 years leading a US‑focused sales team.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CRM systems for pipeline and forecast management.
• Ability to prepare accurate sales forecasts and analytical reports.
