Business Development Manager

About the role

The International Institute of Hotel Management (IIHM) is seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager to lead student enrolment and institutional growth in Goa. Based in Panaji, you will work on‑site to expand our presence in the hospitality education sector.

Key responsibilities

• Identify new markets and build strategic partnerships with schools, colleges and industry stakeholders.
• Conduct outreach presentations, manage leads and enquiries, and support local and regional promotional events, seminars and education fairs.
• Analyse market trends, develop business proposals and contribute to marketing campaigns and brand‑building activities.
• Coordinate with academic and marketing teams to ensure seamless execution of enrolment initiatives.
• Maintain accurate reports, track performance metrics and provide regular updates to senior leadership.

Required profile

• 2–5 years of experience in hotel sales or business development, preferably within education or hospitality.
• Demonstrated ability in market research, lead generation and pipeline management.
• Strong communication, presentation and negotiation capabilities.
• Organisational and planning skills, including event coordination and documentation.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality Management or a related field; postgraduate qualification is a plus.

• Proficiency with CRM tools for lead and pipeline management.
• Advanced use of MS Office for reporting and analysis.
• Digital outreach tools and basic data analysis techniques.
