Business Development – C&I (Renewable Energy)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Business Development professional to lead external and internal sales activities for our Corporate & Industrial (C&I) renewable energy portfolio. Reporting to the Head of C&I Business Development, you will drive client engagement, manage deal execution, and support revenue growth.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the corporate PPA space, including captive and open‑access structures.
• Lead client meetings, site visits, and on‑ground interactions to convert prospects into long‑term partners.
• Own end‑to‑end deal execution: from proposal preparation and financial modelling to commercial negotiations and contract finalisation.
• Collaborate with technical and financial teams to craft customised, competitive proposals.
• Monitor sales performance, maintain the deal pipeline, and provide accurate revenue forecasts to senior management.
• Work closely with Key Account Managers to nurture strategic relationships with key decision‑makers across industrial and corporate client segments.
• Provide market intelligence, regulatory risk assessments, and commercial insights to support proposal submissions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business or related field; MBA preferred.
• Minimum 10 + years of sales experience in the renewable energy sector.
• Proven track record of closing multi‑megawatt renewable projects.
• Strong communication, negotiation and deal‑closing capabilities.
• Self‑driven, outcome‑oriented and able to manage high‑value transactions independently.
• Willingness to travel extensively for client engagements and site assessments.
