Business Analyst II – Product Owner

About the role

Mastercard is seeking a Business Analyst II – Product Owner to join its UK product team, focusing on domestic clearing products and new platform capabilities. The role involves driving enhancements, shaping requirements for new services, and ensuring the product delivers maximum business and customer value.

Key responsibilities

• Own the working‑backwards document and vision for feature releases.
• Identify gaps, charter new platform capabilities, and conduct research, user studies, metrics, and competitive analysis.
• Prioritise the product backlog, make trade‑off decisions, and align releases with business goals.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and delivery teams to translate user stories and use cases into actionable features.
• Monitor runtime metrics, incorporate feedback into the backlog, and adjust priorities as needed.
• Participate in customer research, contribute to quarterly product portfolio planning, and drive test‑and‑learn experiments.
• Review product demos against acceptance criteria and ensure alignment with the user experience design.

Required profile

• Experience working in complex, mature product environments.
• Strong ability to act as the liaison between business stakeholders and delivery teams.
• Proven track record of managing product backlogs and making data‑driven prioritisation decisions.
• Comfort with iterative development, continuous monitoring, and adjusting feature scope.
