Building Maintenance Technician

About the role

The Building Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the physical facilities of the office building remain functional, safe, and well‑maintained. This role involves routine inspections, preventive upkeep of utilities, and rapid response to any reported issues.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections of building elements such as walls, floors, roofs, and doors.
• Perform preventive maintenance on core utilities including electrical installations, generator panels, clean water supply, and waste drainage systems.
• Promptly repair faults such as burnt lights, broken switches, water pipe leaks, and damaged doors or windows.
• Handle help‑desk tickets from employees regarding facility problems.
• Maintain interior and exterior lighting systems and power outlets.
• Ensure air‑conditioning units operate correctly and schedule routine cleaning services.
• Monitor the operation of water pumps, water tanks, and overall plumbing.
• Supervise third‑party vendors for specialized services like lift maintenance, major structural repairs, or pest control.
• Manage inventory of spare parts, technical tools, and maintenance materials stored in the warehouse.
