Branch Operations Executive – Express Logistics

About the role

The Branch Operations Executive is responsible for overseeing the day‑to‑day logistics activities at an express logistics hub. This role combines physical handling of shipments with route planning, documentation, and customer interaction to ensure timely and compliant deliveries.

Key responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks and containers, sort documents and parcels for optimal delivery flow.
• Plan, re‑prioritise and adjust delivery routes to meet customer time‑windows and productivity targets.
• Perform pre‑ and post‑trip vehicle inspections and complete vehicle inspection reports.
• Ensure compliance with state and local warehousing, material‑handling and shipping regulations.
• Accurately complete and audit delivery records, pick‑up manifests, AWBs, customs paperwork and commercial invoices.
• Scan, record and transfer data using defined tools for performance tracking and compliance.
• Maintain vehicle and package security by following safety and security procedures.
• Handle customer queries, resolve issues or escalate to appropriate departments.
• Identify revenue‑generation and customer‑satisfaction opportunities, including sales and automation ideas.
• Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile with system data.
