Branch Manager – Retail Gold Loans

About the role

The Branch Manager – Retail Gold Loans leads the branch’s gold‑loan business, ensuring strong performance, compliance and an excellent customer experience. You will oversee a team of front‑line staff, drive new customer acquisition and maintain portfolio quality.

Key responsibilities

• Drive branch‑level business performance, meeting disbursement, acquisition, yield, audit, collections and risk KPIs.
• Lead and supervise branch staff including ABM, Gold Valuer, GLO and CSE, ensuring productivity and performance management.
• Build and nurture relationships with local customers, partners, authorities and community influencers.
• Ensure accurate gold valuation, loan structuring within LTV norms and proper documentation for new and renewal transactions.
• Maintain strict adherence to RBI regulations, internal policies, risk processes, purity testing and audit standards.
• Monitor portfolio metrics such as delinquencies, yield, tonnage, auction ratios and spurious/bentex cases.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing a gold‑loan or similar secured‑loan branch.
• Strong knowledge of RBI guidelines and NBFC regulatory framework.
• Ability to lead a multi‑disciplinary team and drive results.
• Excellent relationship‑building skills with customers and local stakeholders.
• Analytical mindset to monitor portfolio health and take corrective actions.
