Block Supervisor - Hostel, Coimbatore

About the role

PSG Hostels in Coimbatore is looking for a Block Supervisor to manage residents' behaviour, keep the block's facilities well maintained and look after students' welfare needs. The position is full time, rotational shifts run from 6 AM to 3 PM and 1:30 PM to 10:30 PM, and food and accommodation are provided.

Key responsibilities

• Record and maintain daily student attendance and report the status to higher officials.
• Maintain a student database, including contact numbers and addresses of students and their parents.
• Keep student discipline, restrict movement between blocks and meetings of senior and junior students within the blocks.
• Coordinate segregation of waste in the hostel and keep the block premises and rooms clean and tidy.
• Check electrical, plumbing and maintenance in the hostel blocks.
• Coordinate students' hospital visits.
• Enforce general discipline and prevent banned items such as alcohol, drugs, ragging and unauthorized entry.

Required profile

• Any degree with computer proficiency or a related field.
• Proven supervisory experience, preferably in a hostel or similar setting.
• Age limit 25 to 35 years; female candidates preferred.
• Proficiency in conflict resolution and discipline enforcement.
