Bid and Project Engineer – Skid‑Mounted Systems

About the role

Alfa Laval is seeking a hands‑on Bid & Project Engineer to lead the full lifecycle of skid‑mounted systems for the Oil & Gas and process industries, from RFQ through final documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Review RFQs, specifications, P&IDs, datasheets and customer requirements.
• Develop technical solutions, scope of supply, battery limits and package configurations.
• Prepare technical proposals, compliance statements, deviations, equipment lists and BOMs.
• Perform equipment selection, engineering calculations and component sizing.
• Support procurement, fabrication, assembly and resolve shop‑floor technical issues.
• Lead or support FAT activities and ensure accurate as‑built documentation.

Required profile

• 6–8 years of experience in Oil & Gas, EPC, packaged equipment or skid systems.
• Experience in both pre‑order bidding and post‑order project execution.
• Ability to solve technical problems independently and manage deviations.

Required skills

• P&ID interpretation and equipment selection.
• Knowledge of pumps, vessels, filters, heat exchangers, valves, piping, instrumentation and control systems.
• Vendor technical evaluation and drawing review.
• Hands‑on manufacturing support and FAT experience.
• Familiarity with ASME, API, ASTM, IEC, NACE standards.
