Bank Cashier (Multiple Locations)

About the role

The Bank Cashier is responsible for executing all cash‑related transactions and operations at branch locations, ensuring compliance with internal and external banking guidelines. This full‑time position supports the efficient functioning of the branch by handling cash, cheques, drafts, and other instruments while delivering superior customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Process cash‑related transactions, including receipt and disbursement of cheques, drafts, dividend warrants, pay orders, and cash withdrawals within authorized limits.
• Maintain accurate entries in the system, registers, and online platforms; perform daily cash tally and end‑of‑day reconciliation.
• Manage the branch vault and cash department jointly with the Operations Officer, ensuring safe custody of cash, keys, and valuables.
• Collect loan repayments as per EMI schedules and update relevant registers.
• Interact with customers, address queries, cross‑sell bank products, and educate them on alternative channels for transactions.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, bank policies, and defined turnaround times for transactions.
• Validate customer authenticity during cash withdrawals and verify accuracy of deposit slips.
