Backend Software Engineer – Microservices (Java)

About the role
HDFC Digital Factory is looking for a Backend Software Engineer to design and deliver high‑performance micro‑services for its digital banking platform. You will work with cutting‑edge cloud technologies to build secure, scalable APIs that power payments, wealth, wallets, core banking and lending services.
Key responsibilities
- Design and implement micro‑services using Java, Spring Boot, and Spring WebFlux on AWS, Azure or GCP.
- Develop REST APIs and integrate applications using EAI and messaging patterns.
- Deploy, host and manage services with Kubernetes, Docker and API gateways such as Apigee, APIM or Kong.
- Write automated unit and functional tests to ensure high quality and reliability.
- Collaborate with UX, product and business teams from concept to production.
- Monitor production systems, implement observability and performance tuning.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies in cloud, mobile, big data and micro‑services.
- Mentor junior developers and promote best engineering practices.
Required profile
- 5‑10 years of experience as a full‑stack or backend developer.
- Strong hands‑on experience with Java and Java‑based micro‑services.
- Immediate joiner and local candidate preferred.
- Mobile application development experience is a plus.
