Backend Engineer – 4+ Years Experience

About the role

We are looking for a Backend Engineer (or Senior Backend Engineer) to design, develop, and maintain high‑performance server‑side features. The role is based in Pune and requires strong Java or Python expertise, with a focus on scalability, security, and quality.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java or Python, ensuring performance, correctness, and security.
• Collaborate with developers, QA, and product teams to deliver high‑quality software.
• Write comprehensive unit tests and participate in code reviews.
• Stay up‑to‑date with emerging backend frameworks, AI tools, and coding agents.

Required profile

• 4+ years of professional experience in Java or Python development.
• Strong object‑oriented programming skills and familiarity with design patterns.
• Excellent problem‑solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Experience with backend frameworks such as Spring, Django, or Flask (preferred).
• Understanding of software engineering practices, release processes, and project life cycles.
• Experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus.
• Hands‑on experience with AI assistants, prompt engineering, and validation of AI‑generated content.
• Effective verbal and written communication, including technical documentation.
