Avionics Software Developer

About the role

Airbus India is looking for an Avionics Software Developer to create safety‑critical real‑time embedded software for avionics systems, complying with DO‑178B/C standards. The role includes defining software architecture, leading design activities and collaborating with global stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Lead requirement engineering, gathering system requirements and documenting software specifications.
• Develop and evolve the global software architecture (static and dynamic).
• Create high‑level and low‑level designs using HOOD, class definitions and UML diagrams.
• Perform coding, debugging and build generation in C, C++ or ADA.
• Coordinate with verification teams to resolve complex technical issues.
• Troubleshoot issues from system, simulator, flight‑test and in‑service phases.
• Maintain professional relationships with customers, stakeholders and partners.

Required profile

• 3–7 years of experience in the full software lifecycle for avionics.
• Hands‑on experience with embedded software requirements engineering and architecture.
• Proven ability to design algorithms, interfaces, schedulers and modular components.
• Experience with unit testing, configuration and change management.
• Familiarity with RTOS environments and DO‑178 compliance processes.
• Strong interpersonal skills for working with global, multi‑site teams.
