Automotive Systems Diagnostic & Troubleshooting Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an Automotive Systems Diagnostic and Troubleshooting Engineer to join Bosch’s software development centre in Bangalore. The role involves independent diagnosis, repair and documentation of vehicle electrical, electronic and mechanical systems.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose vehicle systems using a range of testers and diagnostic tools.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, electronic and mechanical components.
• Create guided troubleshooting procedures and detailed documentation.
• Research and produce high‑quality automotive content with authoring tools.
• Identify and interpret Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC) and error codes.
• Conduct component testing with OBD‑II scanners, multimeters and oscilloscopes.
• Maintain comprehensive records of tests, removal and refit procedures.

Required profile

• BE/B.Tech/ME/M.Tech in Automobile or Mechanical engineering.
• Strong knowledge of gasoline, diesel, comfort and safety systems.
• Understanding of sensor and actuator workflows and automotive wiring diagrams.

Required skills

• Use of OBD‑II scanners.
• Multimeter operation.
• Oscilloscope usage.
• Automotive diagnostic tools.
• Interpretation of Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC).
