Assurance Supervisor – Capital Markets (Broker-Dealers)

About the role

We are seeking an Assurance Supervisor to lead audit engagements for capital markets broker‑dealers. The role involves delivering high‑quality client service, supervising staff and developing industry expertise within RSM’s audit practice.

Key responsibilities

• Provide timely, high‑quality audit services to large and small companies across various industries.
• Develop strong client relationships, understand business needs, and address complex accounting and auditing issues.
• Execute audit procedures in line with RSM’s methodology, document work, and identify risk areas.
• Research technical accounting matters, prepare audit reports and management letters.
• Supervise, train and develop associates and senior associates.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and ensure compliance with firm quality standards.
• Participate in projects, contribute to continuous improvement and maintain professional skepticism.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce.
• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with at least 4 years of relevant experience, or ACCA/CPA qualified with at least 5 years, or non‑qualified candidates with 6+ years of audit experience.
• Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards (GAAP) and auditing standards (GAAS).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects effectively.
