Associate Threat Response Analyst

About the role

The Associate Threat Response Analyst joins Mimecast’s Messaging Security team to provide on‑demand threat resolution for email‑borne attacks. Working in a 24/7 rotational schedule, the analyst will help customers detect, remediate, and prevent phishing and malicious email campaigns, leveraging the company’s platform and AI‑enhanced tools.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze phishing and malicious email campaigns to identify indicators of compromise (IOCs).
• Classify email threats and recommend updates to detection rules.
• Provide email security advice, remediation guidance, and configuration suggestions to customers.
• Research emerging security threats and assess their impact on Mimecast customers.
• Collaborate with security vendors on detection techniques and remediation strategies.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, systems, and detection capabilities.
• Participate in a 24/7 rotational shift schedule to ensure continuous threat monitoring and response.
• Leverage AI tools to enhance threat detection, analysis, and response workflows.

Required profile

• Strong interest in email security and threat research.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and holidays, as part of a rotation.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with customers and internal teams.

Required skills

• Experience with the Mimecast Administration Console.
