About the role

The University of Delhi is seeking qualified candidates for 35 permanent Associate Professor positions across a range of disciplines. Appointees will join a leading Indian university under the 7th Central Pay Commission (Pay Level 13A) and contribute to its academic excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in the assigned department.
• Conduct advanced research, publish in reputable peer‑reviewed journals, and maintain a minimum UGC research score of 75.
• Supervise postgraduate and doctoral students, guiding their theses and projects.
• Participate in curriculum development, academic planning, and departmental committees.
• Engage in collaborative research projects and academic partnerships.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in the relevant or allied discipline (mandatory).
• Master’s degree with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade).
• Minimum 8 years of teaching and/or research experience equivalent to Assistant Professor.
• At least 7 publications in UGC‑CARE/SCOPUS indexed journals.
• Research score of at least 75 as per UGC Screening Guidelines.
• Applicable relaxations for SC/ST/OBC (non‑creamy layer), PwBD, and older Master’s degrees.
