Associate, Packaging (Bag Pouch Machine Operator)

About the role

This position supports pharmaceutical packaging operations, focusing on the safe and compliant handling of equipment such as vial lines, bag‑pouch machines, bottle‑filling and capping systems, cartoning, labeling, and track‑and‑trace stations. The associate works under supervision to develop core competencies in packaging processes, equipment operation, and cGMP compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in operating and monitoring packaging equipment, including vial & bag lines, packing, bottle filling, capping, cartoning, labeling, and track‑and‑trace systems.
• Perform cleaning of equipment according to approved SOPs and established procedures.
• Support packaging activities to meet production schedules while adhering to SOPs and cGMP standards.
• Maintain packaging areas, equipment, tools, and tooling parts in an orderly, sanitized, and compliant condition.
• Handle packaging materials and finished goods following approved material‑handling procedures.
• Accurately maintain batch records, logbooks, and packaging documentation in line with GDP requirements.
• Identify and report deviations, equipment breakdowns, non‑conforming materials, or operational abnormalities to supervisors.
• Follow all safety rules, PPE requirements, and workplace discipline standards.
• Participate in scheduled training on cGMP, SOPs, safety, equipment operation, and cleaning.

Required profile

• ITI/Diploma or equivalent education.
• 2 + years of experience in pharmaceutical or related packaging environments (2‑5 years preferred).
• Ability to work under guidance of supervisors and follow detailed procedures.

Required skills

• Operation of packaging equipment (vial lines, bag‑pouch machines, bottle‑filling, capping, cartoning, labeling, track‑and‑trace).
• Cleaning of equipment per SOPs.
• Material handling in a regulated environment.
• Maintaining batch documentation and logbooks according to GDP.
• Understanding of cGMP and safety requirements.
