Associate Maintenance Technician

About the role

The Associate Maintenance Technician ensures plant machinery, equipment and facilities operate safely, reliably and efficiently. You will carry out both preventive and corrective tasks, supporting the overall maintenance strategy of the plant.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on machinery, equipment and technical systems according to defined plans.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical or technical faults and execute repairs within your competence.
• Support scheduled maintenance activities and respond promptly to unplanned breakdowns.
• Follow internal procedures, technical documentation and safety requirements while carrying out tasks.
• Coordinate maintenance work with production and other plant partners to minimise disruptions.
• Record all work, inspections and findings in the maintenance management system.
• Identify spare‑part needs, report inventory requirements and assist with parts usage.
• Assist with minor building repairs and general facility upkeep as assigned.
• Participate in root‑cause analysis and corrective actions for equipment failures.
• Adhere to health, safety, environmental and food‑safety standards and report non‑standard situations.

Required profile

• Secondary technical or vocational education in mechanics, electrical systems or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial or plant maintenance.
• Ability to read technical drawings, manuals and maintenance documentation.
• Practical knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance methods.
• Basic computer skills for maintenance systems, documentation and reporting.
• Reliability, responsibility and the ability to work independently.
• Willingness to work in physically demanding, operational plant environments.
