Associate II Field Technical Service Engineer

About the role

The Associate II Field Technical Service Engineer provides on‑site support for Alcon’s surgical equipment, ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction within the Calicut service territory.

Key responsibilities

• Perform complex troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of surgical devices, including preventative maintenance, installations, and upgrades.
• Identify and resolve start‑up issues and conduct product failure analysis.
• Research, evaluate, and recommend equipment upgrades that meet client needs.
• Maintain detailed service logs, prepare reports, and document compliance with GxP regulations.
• Educate customers on proper equipment usage and operation.
• Escalate technical problems to engineering teams and coordinate with dispatch, managers, and cross‑functional groups.
• Manage daily schedules and ensure timely communication with all stakeholders.

Required profile

• Relevant education and experience to perform technical service duties on surgical equipment.
• Strong commitment to GxP compliance, SOP adherence, and quality documentation.
• Ability to build and maintain customer relationships and support service contracts.
• Continuous improvement mindset and willingness to complete required training.
