Associate General Counsel – Legal EHS

About the role

Micron Technology is seeking an Associate General Counsel to provide legal advice and counsel on Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) matters across its global operations. The role supports the EHS team, business leaders, and senior management to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.

Key responsibilities

• Advise Micron’s EHS team and business leaders on compliance with EHS laws, regulations, and policies.
• Respond to non‑compliance incidents, government inquiries, and investigations.
• Support product‑based EHS compliance and sustainability initiatives.
• Draft, review, and revise contracts and contract terms related to EHS programs.
• Provide EHS legal counsel for acquisitions, divestitures, and related due‑diligence.
• Deliver EHS legal training to internal stakeholders.
• Assist in litigation, enforcement actions, and regulatory matters before governmental agencies.
• Engage with EHS regulatory agencies across Micron’s Asia‑based operations.
• Monitor changes in EHS legislation in Asia and develop strategies to address them.
• Retain and manage outside counsel and consultants as needed.
• Travel internationally to Micron manufacturing sites as required.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 + years post‑qualification experience in a top‑tier law firm or in‑house legal department, preferably focused on EHS matters.
• Strong drafting and communication abilities.
• Demonstrated high integrity, ethical conduct, and sound judgment.
• Experience advising on global manufacturing operations is preferred.
• Ability to work with diverse, cross‑functional teams in a matrixed organization.
• Excellent written and verbal English; Mandarin or other business language a plus.
