Associate Director, Commercial AI – Tech Lead

About the role

The Associate Director – Commercial AI Tech Lead will define and drive the technical vision for AI and Agentic AI products supporting commercial use cases in India. You will build enterprise‑grade AI solutions from prototype to production, ensuring scalability, governance and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Own reference architecture for Commercial and Agentic AI, including RAG, orchestration, tool integration, identity and observability.
• Lead end‑to‑end delivery: discover, design, build, deploy, monitor and iterate, guaranteeing performance, reliability, security and cost efficiency.
• Establish LLMOps/MLOps practices such as versioning, automated evaluation, safe rollout/rollback and continuous improvement loops.
• Develop reusable frameworks, SDKs and deployment scaffolds to accelerate delivery across multiple commercial teams.
• Implement governance, risk and responsible AI controls in partnership with security, privacy and legal teams.
• Own observability for AI services, including tracing, cost dashboards, incident triage and reliability enhancements.

Required profile

• 8+ years of software engineering, ML engineering or AI product engineering experience with production deployments at scale.
• 4+ years of leadership experience, mentoring engineers and driving multi‑stakeholder delivery.
• Strong communication skills to translate business problems into AI roadmaps and measurable outcomes.

Required skills

• Python programming and API/service development.
• Cloud‑native engineering on Azure, AWS or GCP (containers, orchestration, CI/CD).
• LLM engineering, prompt engineering, Retrieval‑Augmented Generation and vector databases.
• LLMOps/MLOps practices: versioning, automated testing, monitoring and rollout management.
• Agentic AI design: multi‑step planning, tool/function calling, memory patterns and guardrails.
• Enterprise integration: authentication, authorization, logging and audit trails.
