Assistant/Deputy Manager – Product Quality (Hydraulic Products)

About the role

The role is responsible for ensuring product quality of hydraulic systems such as pumps, valves, power units and cylinders. You will lead complaint handling, drive systematic problem‑solving and act as a quality liaison between the Ahmedabad plant and the German headquarters.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain product quality for hydraulic pumps, valves, power units and cylinders.
• Manage customer complaints and close them using structured problem‑solving within defined timelines.
• Coordinate internal and external product/process quality issues with cross‑functional teams and Q‑Methods support.
• Participate in Q‑table activities from the QMM department.
• Moderate manufacturing work quality, drive corrective actions and verify their effectiveness.
• Conduct process audits according to VDA standards, system audits per ISO 9001, and spot audits.
• Represent the Ahmedabad plant in meetings with the Germany team and engage customers virtually.

Required profile

• Experience in product quality management for hydraulic or similar industrial products.
• Proven ability to handle customer complaints and lead root‑cause investigations.
• Familiarity with cross‑functional teamwork and quality method support.
• Strong audit experience with VDA and ISO 9001 standards.
• Effective communication skills for internal and external stakeholder engagement.
