Assistant Unit HR Manager

About the role

The Assistant Unit HR Manager will support the HR function for a large ice‑cream manufacturing site in Nashik. Working closely with business leaders, the role ensures that people strategies align with the supply‑chain plan and that the factory has the right talent to meet its performance targets.

Key responsibilities

• Deploy and deliver HR strategy in line with the annual supply‑chain plan, covering cost, productivity, innovation and safety targets.
• Recommend long‑term site‑specific strategic plans and assess their impact on human resources.
• Coordinate factory and co‑packer operations to achieve business KPIs while ensuring compliance with Unilever policies and governance requirements.
• Lead manpower planning, FTE recruitment, talent retention and development to place the right talent in the right roles.
• Translate business objectives into future HR resource needs, identify skill gaps and create a manpower plan.
• Design and manage key support systems such as succession plans, mentoring schemes, coaching frameworks and induction programs.
• Monitor and administer recruitment processes and establish manpower requirements.

Required profile

• Experience in HR business partnering within a manufacturing or supply‑chain environment.
• Ability to translate business objectives into HR resource plans and identify skill gaps.
• Proven capability to design and implement succession, mentoring and coaching programs.
• Strong understanding of policy compliance and governance in a large organization.
