Assistant Tax Manager

About the role

The Assistant Tax Manager supports the Country Tax Manager in delivering tax compliance, reporting and planning activities, primarily focused on indirect taxes and with exposure to international tax matters. The role involves close collaboration with internal stakeholders and external advisors to ensure accurate tax filings and effective risk management.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and assist in filing corporate, withholding and other direct tax returns.
• Support tax provisions, corporate tax compliance and transfer‑pricing compliance processes, including preparation of ETR, FP8, FP6 and CbC reports.
• Develop and improve procedures for tax compliance and reporting.
• Review intercompany agreements, supporting documentation and maintain tax document repositories (TRC, No‑PE certificates, Form 10F).
• Assist the GeoMarket team with transfer‑pricing documentation and field tax audits.
• Provide audit support for statutory fiscal accounts and liaise with external auditors.
• Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities.
• Collaborate with consultants and legal counsel on advisory and litigation matters.

Required profile

• Minimum 6‑8 years of post‑qualification experience in corporate tax, international tax or related fields.
• Experience with statutory audits and familiarity with SAP.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines and work both independently and in teams.
• Prior experience supervising a small team (2‑3 members) is preferred.
