About the role

The Assistant Sales Manager (ASM) will drive insurance business through the HDFC Prime channel in Hyderabad. You will work closely with bank relationship partners to promote Birla Sunlife Insurance products, ensuring both pre‑sales and post‑sales support for customers and partners.

Key responsibilities

  • Achieve premium and revenue targets by continuously engaging with multiple HDFC branch heads and key decision makers.
  • Facilitate smooth sales processes, including sales calls, policy issuance, and complaint handling, while communicating any regulatory or process changes.
  • Manage the open‑architecture relationship with the bank, delivering best‑in‑class service and product knowledge.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities, aiming for a balanced product mix (Traditional 50%, ULIP 40%, Term 10%).
  • Provide inputs for new product development and sales pitches based on channel needs.

Required profile

  • Proven experience in insurance sales or banking channel partnership management.
  • Strong understanding of both insurance and bank products.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships at multiple levels within the bank.
  • Results‑driven mindset with a focus on consistent quarterly growth.

Required skills

  • Knowledge of insurance product portfolio (Traditional, ULIP, Term).
  • Familiarity with banking channel operations and open‑architecture models.
