Assistant Professor (Yoga)

About the role

The university is seeking a qualified Assistant Professor to lead Yoga instruction for first‑year students and offer advanced Yoga modules for eligible candidates. The role also involves teaching Indian Knowledge Systems, conducting research, and contributing to cultural promotion initiatives on campus.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver Yoga classes to all first‑year students.
• Design and teach advanced Yoga courses for interested and eligible learners.
• Offer courses related to Indian Knowledge Systems.
• Undertake scholarly research, publish findings, and manage project work.
• Participate in institutional activities that promote Indian culture and knowledge.
• Support co‑curricular and administrative duties as required.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in Yoga or allied studies (essential).
• UGC NET in Yoga or relevant domain (preferred).
• Post‑graduate degree in Yoga.
• Strong knowledge of Indian Knowledge Systems linked to Yoga.
• Proficient command of English.
• Desirable: Publications in peer‑reviewed or Scopus‑indexed journals and an outstanding academic/research record.
